# snooze.domains

> snooze.domains watches the registry status of domains you want and emails you when one expires, enters redemption or pending delete, or becomes available to register. It is free — watch up to 100 domains, with adaptive checks that speed up near a drop and expiry countdown alerts. It also runs a free Name Safety Check (domain, social handle, and US trademark knockout for a brand name).

snooze.domains reads public RDAP and WHOIS registry data and maps raw EPP status codes to a buyer-focused lifecycle: active, grace, expired, held, redemption, pending delete, available. It also detects names RDAP reports as available but nobody can register: registry premium names, which carry a registry-set price, and names that are not open for registration at all (registry holds, trademark blocks, policy reservations). For a domain in its lapse cycle it forecasts the likely release window. It is a monitoring tool, not a backorder service — when a domain drops, you register it yourself at any registrar.
